Parochial Schools Offer Top Quality Education And Opportunities ...

If one considers the fact that the public schooling system receives more funding than ever, one cannot help but question why it is still in the state it is in. Nevertheless, the quality of education has yet to improve. For instance, in 1930 they had a literacy rate of almost 90%, and they spent $876 making that happen. Just 70 years down the line, $7,000 is spent on a single child. One would expect that the literacy rate would be just as high as it was in the 1930s, but in reality, it was as low as 50% in some schools. Clearly something is not right with the public schooling system.

It is for reasons like this that so many people decide to send their children to private schools. Let?s face it; we need to ensure that our child has every advantage possible so as to be able to succeed. For Catholics, Catholic schools are undoubtedly the number one choice. These kinds of private schools are doing an excellent job of providing children with top quality education and great opportunities. Upon graduation, many end up at top-notch Ivy League Colleges thanks to the fact that these schools are affiliated with them.

While it is true that private schools are more expensive than public schools, one needs to put that into perspective. Take Catholic schools, for instance, that levy fees of as much as $6,000 per student, per year. That is less than what a public school spends a year on educating one child, yet the private schools provide the better education, not to mention greater opportunities.

For more than 40 years the public schooling system has needed fixing. Many parents are beginning to feel that it is more than enough time. If the public school system has not been fixed yet, they reason, then clearly those running them are not up to the task of ensuring that children receive the best possible education. Naturally, we want the best for our children.

Unsurprisingly, many have subsequently given up hoping to see an improvement in the educational opportunities offered by the public educational system. Although private school fees are more expensive for you, the parent, there are some options you might want to investigate. Catholic families would do well to approach Catholic schools in the area. They invariably have some kind of financial assistance or advice available. If you require financial aid, rest assured that there are avenues to explore. Discover more about what kind of help is available to you. Discussing this with the schools you are looking at will certainly yield results.

It goes without saying that some public schools provide the best education they are able to. Those that stand out are staffed by dedicated people who desire to provide the best to the students in their care. Many are frustrated by the lack of funding. Ultimately, the students suffer.
